Hannah Õunap Commits to University of Washington for Fall 2026

Hannah will join the Huskies women’s golf programme, competing at NCAA Division I level in one of the strongest collegiate golf environments in the United States. The University of Washington has a strong tradition of developing elite amateur and professional golfers, offering access to top-class coaching, facilities, and a highly competitive schedule throughout the collegiate season.

Her decision reflects both her ambition to continue developing her game in a high-performance environment and her commitment to combining elite sport with academic study. Competing in NCAA golf will see her face some of the strongest collegiate players in the world on a regular basis while representing Washington in conference and national events.

Speaking on her commitment, Hannah said, “I’m really excited to be joining the University of Washington because it offers the perfect combination of outstanding golf and a world-class academic environment. The coaching, facilities and competitive schedule are exactly what I need to keep developing my game, and the university’s academic reputation made it an easy decision. I can’t wait to challenge myself both on and off the course in Seattle.”

The commitment represents a major milestone in Hannah’s career pathway as she transitions from elite amateur and international junior golf into NCAA Division I competition.

It also adds to a standout 2026 season, during which she has recorded strong performances in national championships and represented Scotland on the international stage, further establishing herself as one of the leading young golfers in the UK.
