Hannah Shines at Estonian Amateur Open by Tallink

Pärnu Bay Golf Links witnessed an exciting start to the three-day Estonian Amateur Open by Tallink tournament, attracting players from ten different countries. With challenging weather conditions, including strong winds and relatively cool temperatures, the competition promised to test the skills of the golfers.


Among the 113 participants, 18 players entered the tournament with a handicap marked with a plus sign, indicating their exceptional abilities.


In the women's division, the favorites included Anete Liis Adul, last year's top female golfer in Estonia, Hannah Õunap, and Latvian golfer Marlena Gavare, who holds the highest World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) among the competitors.


By the second day, Hannah Õunap from Valgeranna Golf Club shared the second position heading into the final day. Õunap carded a second-round score of 74.


On the final day, Anete Liis Adul secured her first victory in the tournament with an impressive overall score of +5 (77, 74, 70). Hannah Õunap, playing under the banner of Valgeranna Golf Club, finished five strokes behind Adul, registering scores of 80, 74, and 72.


The Estonian Amateur Open by Tallink provided a platform for golfers from different nations to come together, test their abilities, and forge lasting connections within the golfing community. As the tournament came to an end, the competitors left with valuable experiences and memories, ready to continue their golfing journeys with renewed determination.
