Hannah continued her successful 2025 season by winning the Girls’ Junior Quaich at the Paul Lawrie Foundation Junior Jug & Junior Quaich, held at Newmachar Golf Club from May 30 to June 1.

The tournament featured 36 holes of stroke play across two days, played on Newmachar’s Hawkshill Course—a championship layout located just outside Aberdeen. Designed by Dave Thomas, Hawkshill is regarded as one of the best inland courses in the North East of Scotland, known for its tree-lined fairways, demanding green complexes, and well-placed bunkering. Measuring over 6,700 yards from the back tees, it provides a strong test for elite amateur players, especially under tournament pressure.
Ounap recorded rounds of 76 and 73, finishing with a total of 149 (+4) to claim the title. The Junior Quaich, run alongside the Junior Jug for boys, is one of the showcase junior events hosted by the Paul Lawrie Foundation—an organisation committed to developing junior golf throughout Scotland. The event draws many of the country’s best young players and provides valuable experience in a competitive environment recognised by national selectors and coaches.
